In 1943 when I was 3 years Old, I was in a shelter during an air raid. A Bomb dropped next door. The people in that shelter were drowned because they had a water tank in the garden. We were buried alive. I can remember to Loud bang and the darkness.
My Grandad was on Home Guard duty near by so he came and dug us out. The miracle was nobody was hurt.
I am now the ripe old age of 63.
