Spooners was a dance hall in Silverdale - it was famous in North Staffs for having a sprung dance floor.
My mum met American airmen and soldiers there. She was well supplied with nylons and chocolates. Spooners was well known for assigantions that took place there!
Mum worked at Swynnerton
