The children were taught to help in setting tables for meals, waiting on each other as we served the food and clearing away. Often the quicker eaters would help the slower ones as we had to help to feed more than one child at once. They helped with the beds and furniture and always had to clear up their own toys and help to check pieces and put them away. On fine days they played outside where we also had a slide and climbing frame and swing and more push and pull toys or were taken for a walk.
