I am astonished that the events described in my submission under Reference A1975872 have not been mentioned in the October "happenings" in the Herald.The 16th October 1939 was the very first Luftwaffe attack of the War and I had a grandstand view of the action and prsonal knowledge of subsequent events.Please remember there were casualties in Leith before the London Blitz.Lets here more about Scottish events!!!
