My Mum and Dad lived at Hilders Bungalow, Redding Street on the Appledore Road out of Tenterden.
Dad was in the Home Guard in Tenterden Church spires looking out for German Bombers.
In 1940ish we moved to Arrowhead Bungalow which was like a chicken shed with a tin roof. Opposite in the field was a makeshift Polish aerodrome. Germans were shooting down search lights. Our bungalow was near the bottom.
We thought we were being done! When there was bombing our tin roof opened and shut!
