I was directed all the way from Scotland to Coventry - to be a bus conductress! I didn't know a soul: I cried and cried myself to sleep every night, but you just had to get on with it. I didn't know one street from another, but the passengers were nice helpful people. I'm still here! - because I made so many good friends, I stayed when the war ended.
