My friend Jean who was aged around 10 and I used to make cushion covers out of dishcloths. We'd thread different coloured wools through the holes in the dishcloth. We also made little golliwog badges. All the things we made we sold and sent the proceeds to Mrs Churchill for the war effort. We received a lovely letter from Mrs Churchill thanking us.Min Podmore-Burslem,Stoke-On -Trent
