I myself was in the war. I had just come out of Wellington College, I was 18, I found the war very stressful, I got shot in the leg, so luckly I didn't have to go back!
Anyway on VE day I was so happy that finally the war was over, I celebrated so much I danced around with girls, and enjoyed my self. That Is how I spent VE day, one of the greates days of my life.
