I was nine years old, when I remember sitting in the window in the living room when I saw a lot of soldiers hiding along a wall with guns. I felt frightened my tummy felt funny.Mummy was in the kitchen and I called her. She came to see what I had seen. I think she may have said they are practicing being a soldier. "nothing to worry about they are ours. Another time I was awake at 6 o`clock waiting for my Daddy to come home from nightshift. I think it was Martyns, who built planes who he worked for.I looked out the window to see if Daddy was coming on his bike, when I heard and saw a small plane, circling in the sky. Then spotted my Daddy scooting on his bike, but he was waving and shouting for me to "Get down", because the plane was shooting. Daddy came in and said it was a Gerry bomber, and then sat down to eat the cooked breakfast Mummy had cooked for him.
