My Dad was in the front line field ambulance in Italy during the war, picking up the injured. He had to be really careful that they weren鈥檛 booby trapped.
One day he was waiting for a moment to move off, he was waiting in a shed. He put his head around the corner of the shed to check the coast was clear and he was shot at. The bullet went just past his ear. It鈥檚 a good job he had quick reactions and pulled his head back quick!
