I am now 85 years old. I was in the war for seven years.
I am very sorry that my memory has gone, but I do remember one story.
At the start of the war the Germans pushed us out. They drove us back. We nearly got flooded and had to get back by boat. The boats had no name on them. They held about twenty people each.
I am sorry that this is all I can remember about the war.
