According to recent discovery, the spitfire VIII crashed near Gazzano (reggio emilia, north italy) in mid summer 1944, seems belong to 145 squadron. The pilot, still unknow, was rescued by the partisan and bring in the Modena area to avoid capture. If any 145 sq veteran remember these facts, please reply, thanks.
