The day was young and bright. I was sat in my front garden with my lovely wife Elizabeth. We were talking about what we would do once the war was over and all the bombing stopped. I heard a strange noise, looked up and saw a huge war plane. It flew close to the ground and before i knew it, had dropped a bomb at the end of my street. The noise was ear shattering and i heard many people screaming for help. A huge fire began to blaze, and since then i cannot remember anything as i blacked out. I was informed by my wife that the national fire guard and police service recovered two bodies. I knew those bodies, and their children. And i knew the children would never see their mother or father again.
