My father and I were stood in the garden watching the enemy planes go over and they were bombing Brislington. Then we went to the air raid shelter in the garden. As we got into the shelter, a bomb whistled over our heads and went into the river. After that, we heard a loud 'bang' in the house and my father came out of the bedroom window (the house was built on a slope). Then it went very quiet and so we went back into the house and found the back wall had fallen down! Then we could hear the cat meowing but we couldn't see it. My Dad said "they've only got nine lives". "We can get it out by the time it cries nine times". So my sister (Doreen) and I started to move all the big stones. It took us about half an hour to move them all. And on the ninth cry, the cat came out!
