The thing I can remember most was when I was evacuated and we all went to the school. We had to wear gas masks, uniforms and then we were all taken to the station. They used to choose people in the hall and my sister and I were one of the last ones chosen because we didn鈥檛 want to be separated so were left to last. Anyway eventually we got picked. Another thing I remember was standing on my back door step and watching the fires in the sky.
