Herbert Robin, a post office engineer on teleprinters, he worked on Dollis Hill He was an instructor on the course in the photos. On the board says teleprinter and V.F course from October the 28th — 23rd November 1940

When I was 5 I lived in Lincolnshire I remember a Lancaster crashing in the river Trent, in east stoke, just up the road from school.

My father in law was a post office engineer on teleprinters, he worked on Dollis Hill
He was an instructor on the course in the photos.
He was on secret work during the war for secret codes trying to decifer them.

The non signed photo, in the gray jacket, little chap
In the photo from 1940 clearly stated on the board he is standing by the board. On the board says teleprinter and V.F course from October the 28th — 23rd November 1940

My Father was called Herbet Robin. I don’t think he did much during the war he was too scared! I can’t remember if he did any thing.

My Grand father was in the black watch, he was Scottish.
