During the war, a system was set up in case communications broke down.
Messages could be passed between various locations such as fire watching stations, first aid stations, police stations, etc and by cycle with the messenger boys.
The HQ was in the hotel on the corner across the road from where the 大象传媒 Radio Lancashire studios stand today.
The idea was that we would go to one of the fire watching stations near where we lived, and if needed during an air raid.
Fortunately, we weren't calle dupon as there wasn't many raids on our town.
