Do you know Remember Achtmaal 1944-1945?

Grandmothers Story:
We were liberated on October 22 1944.
Living in a farm near a Manor House we were glad to see the Germans go. Not that they had been extremely harsh to us, but we were scared of what they represented.
Shortly after the liberation by the American 104th Infantry Division assisted by the American 555AAA and the British 147th Regiment Royal Armoured Core, new neighbours settled in, and as for the Germans, but now more willingly, Grandmother and her sisters and mother washed for the soldiers.
These soldiers had to supply the troops and everyone who lived then, tells us that the long road towards Belgi毛 was stacked with goods for the troops.
Many tell us of the big amount of petrol and diesel probably.
Grandmother (83 years now) being the eldest would write to England (we don't know how as she doesn't speak English) to the mother of some of the soldiers.
She has 4 pictures left and we have them on our homepage for ages but no one has replied.
We collect everything of WW2 and have our own unofficial WW2 museum so we would so much like to find out more about them.
Grandmother said she and her sisters always were very friendly with them but nothing untoward happened.
She would so much like to find out what happened to them after the war.
The war was hard but not as hard here as in the cities.
More pictures are on page About links, can anyone help us find them please?
In our neighbourhood are many monuments for the 49th West Riding, also known as the Polar Bears.
They were all under command of the 1st Canadian Army at the time.
People here remember them well.

With best regards of Grandmother, Jeanne Oostvogels Gommers.
