Not sure of location my dad is top far left.
I don't really know how to start except to say i am the proud daughter of a ww2 hero, sadly my father is no longer with me but i can remember some of the stories he told me both sad and funny, my fathers regiment was south kent regiment the location i do not know but i do know he travelled a lot places being egypt, north africa, also dunkirk. the stories he told me of i can only remember bits and pieces he said there was one time where he was driving along a road which was riddled with mines and he had to swerve off the road causing the lorry he was driving to tip he said his rifle strap had got caught before he could jump out so he went with the lorry on its side but he was ok apart from pulling a muscle, he also said of a time when he was in france i think and provisions were low so they were nicking stuff off the farm,
another time he told me they was crossing a field somewhere and he saw a boot but when he picked it up it still had a foot in it.
as i said i don't really have much of a story to tell just bits and pieces and being the youngest daughter of his never got to hear much about it although i was interested and paid attention especially when he was watching the world at war even so i wanted to mention him as he is my dad and still my hero but i still have a lot of photos if anyone reading this reconises him or even thereself or knows anything about his regiment please contact me.
