I was born in '39. My memories are from the age of three, three and a half. I remember the dog fights through he weald of Kent between the river Medway and the Eden. I remember the German pilots bailing out - they were shot at the Polish boys and killed and we saw them coming down. They were buried in the local graveyard. The local vicar sorted that.
