You are going away
To catch a train
4 years old. Label on coat
Teddy under arm
Crying parents
Screaming children

You are going away
To catch a train
Strange place
Strange people
Where鈥檚 my Mum?
Where鈥檚 my Dad?

Who is the lady
Who chose me?
And took me from the train?
I miss my Mum
I miss my Dad
Crying for home
And the things I had known
The day they took me away
On a train

The tears still flow
Remembering that day
They took me away
On a train

Many years on
My Mum and Dad have gone away
Not on a train
My life was enriched
By the lady that took me
From the train.
We remembered together
Those days I was sent away
To catch a train.
