The seeds of Dunkirk

--------------------

In the quiet of the night
When the waves are still
The Heavenly Reaper stands,
Then gathers to himself those fallen seeds
That were scattered on yonder sands

And the Reaper blessed those fallen seeds
(He knew them all by name)
And planted each in some loved one鈥檚 heart
No matter from whence they came

To the sands as well where those seeds lay
He gave His special blessing
And the moving tides pass to and fro
Each tiny grain caressing

Then as the years move slowly on
And all the tears are shed
The Dunkirk beaches will remain
A memorial to the dead
