There was a great deal of training culminating in a nursing exam.
I'll never forget that exam beacause one of the questions was how do you disinfect stools?. Well, being a young, naive young man in those days I thought they meant stools you sit on, but they didnt. So I wrote scrub well with disinfectant and if possible leave in the air to dry! and that's the gospel truth.
