I was 19 and worked in the Naafi canteen in Fraserburgh. It was an airforce camp and there was even a cinema on site. We'd be busy working all morning and then me and the other girls would walk along the sand dunes at lunchtime. We had a good time there. I was then posted to Fort George, Inverness to an army camp. I worked in the canteen there as well but I had to stop as I developed osteoarthritis.
