My Mother colected Rabbits from farms in Lancs/Yorks and delivered to the Towns. Once when she had a delivery to make to Manchester she could see in the distance the bombs going off. She was driving a Jowat Bradford Pickup which had very thin tyres. When she went to turn back she unfortunately got stuck in the Tramlines and she couldn't get off. She was heading straight for the bombings and was really really frightened. However she fortunately came to a junction and it allowed her to come off the track. She headed straight out of Manchester.
