The following story appears courtesy of and with thanks to Will Seaton Arnett, 1st Lt. USAAF and John S. Green.
Briefed at 10:30 for a raid on the marshalling yards at Tunis. Off at 12:00 and circled the field for 55 minutes waiting for the 97th to join us. I finally got to go with the new crew and I'm more convinced than ever before that I would like to have my own plane and crew. Returned at 13:15, had chow, then put on extra clothes to keep warm. Right now my eyes feel like they are ready to pop out because of a terrible headache.
