I can remember as a small boy the German bombers coming over Caldecote on the Coventry raids. They once dropped two High Explosive bombs about 200yards behind our house. One of these bombs did not explode. The bomb disposal team dug down to it and blew it up.
The Germans also dropped many incendiary bombs. I remember walking round the field with my father picking up the fins.
