My father told me that, during the war years, when he was still a little child, my grandfather and other fellow british descedants living in the west of Buenos Aires province (Trenque Lauquen, Mari Lauquen area) used to send fresh food and meat specially for the british people in UK in the trains first from the farm until it arrived to the port in Buenos Aires, and then to the UK.
My great grand father had moved in late 1890's from England to Argentina, and so his children (my grandfather Roberto and bros and sisters) felt the "duty" to help the Motherland.
