On Good Friday morning at 2am in April 1941 a bomb dropped on our Village School. The village is North Witham, not far from Grantham, Lincs and about 1 mile off the A1. We schoolchildren were all sent to the Manor House and down to the cellar. After Easter our School was in the local Church vestry.
