I was approximately 22years old, I'm now 86. We lived on a farm at the time. One particular day we were visited by an aunt and her children. We all sat at the large round dining table drinking tea when after an air raid warning , a bomb was heard whistling down. I'd gone out of the room to fetch something from a cupboard ; when I returned to the room all I saw were several bottoms sticking out from under the table in a circle as they were all hiding from the bombs. It was scary at the time, as we were all very frightened, but it caused much hilarity later on reflection.
