My father in law, Amos Bostock was 15 when he was in the war and weas abroad. He came face to face with another soldier so he shot him. it was a young German boy who turned out to be 15 too, the same age. He took his ID cards and when the war was over he wrote to the family of the boy. They then exchanged Christmas cards every year until about 3 years ago when the cards stopped.
