Just to clear up the story about living in four houses at the one address .
It is perfectly true .Please let me explain.
Remember. It was a tenement with three houses on each floor.
As I mentioned ,we lived with my aunt and uncle in the 'big ' room . The middle house on the top floor,This was House Number One .
Then my mother was allocated the house next to my aunts and she moved in there with my then two young sisters and following my dad's return, another one on the way.
House Number Two.
Following my accident and the fact I now would be wearing an artificial leg ,my mother (bless her) went to see the house factor ,explained the situation and was given a house ,again just a room and kitchen ,but on the first floor.
House Number Three.
Then when I got married to Jean, what did I do?
Yes you have guessed it .
I moved back up to the top floor into a room and kitchen to begin married life .
This was House Number Four.
