My Grandfather is George James Chadwick, he was at Dunkirk in the war where he served as rear gauard action as a
Private in The 2nd battalion Gloucester Regiment. He was captured on 30th April 1940 at Cassel, Dunkirk by General Rommels German troops where he served out the rest of his army life as a Prisoner of War. Liberated by General Zukovs Russian troops 1945 near Berlin. Flew home to England in a US AAF B17 bomber.

Would love to hear from ex comrades or familes of serving officers.
