I drove Officer's where they wanted to explore, like the River Fal and Helford and areas by the sea. The best port we the driver's (RN Luner's and myself) reported to for our meals was to a Hotel on Castle Drive (I think it was the Royal Duchey). I returned to the pier, when the Officer's returned from exploring the area.
Another memory was to drive a Major from 8th Corps Taunton to Portreath, to oversee the Camourflage in the area. The Officers was David Niven (the actor).
