1) STRANGE PLANES IN FIELDS
My friends and I used to enjoy roaming the fields by my house, for shrapnel there were a lot of bombs and landmines in the fields near us. One day, a group of us saw a plane in the middle of the filed, which had landed there. Fearless, we ran to see what was going on. We were shooed away by some men, who told us we were not allowed to be there. We were very curious. We never found out what all the fuss was about.
2) FRATERNISING WITH THE ENEMY!
One day, for the war effort, my class worked in the pea fields. German and Italian prisoners of war were working in them too. The Italians were wearing brown uniforms and the Germans, light green. Some of the Italians were singing and doing somersaults in the fields. Two of the girls from my class, one with brown hair the other blonde began talking to the Italians. The next day, in school assembly the headmistress brought the two girls to the front. We were all waiting for her to give her usual speech, when she began to tell the girls off, accusing them of Fraternising with the enemy.
