I have vivid memories of working at Radway Green in the war.
Radway Green was bombed heavily in the war.
I remember once during an air-raid we were stuck for more than two hours in the Harecastle Tunnel. It was pitch black and was quite scary.
My husband whose name was Thomas Shropshire served in the forces for seven years.
He was stationed in many different countries including Italy, Greece, Albania, North Africa.
We went on to have three children and were married for sixty three years.
