I haven't got much to tell, as I lived in Gloucester during the war. There wasn't much bombing there. I was in the Girls Training Corp as a Sergeant, wearing navy skirts, white blouses and a navy forage cap. We trained every Thursday evening at the local High School.
I worked in the office of a local factory that made tanks for the Army.
We had Church parades at Gloucester Cathedral, and one time it rained, so my friend who had a Navy Mackintosh which she had dyed, (we had clothing coupons so couldn't buy new) found that the rain caused the Navy dye to run all down her legs, she was very embarrassed.
Sorry that's all I've got.
