AFTER THE WAR

We agree that as things stand, it is better for all if The Prince and Mrs. Parker Bowles marry and regularise their status quo.
That said, however, to ascend the throne would be very different matter; how can we, and especially our younger generation, be expected to look up to their majesties as adulterers? For what is majestic in the betrayal of the mother of ones children?
Again, how could a soldier charge cheerfully into battle for'King and Country'knowing that king was the one who betrayed his 'Fairy Princess'and ultimately caused her death.
Charles' uncle, Edward, at least never tempted a woman from her legal husband, nor himself committed adultery, yet he was persuaded to abdicate the throne. Charles should himself give up his right to the succession.
If those of us that are left of the millions who once faced death for their Motherland speak with one voice, who knows, it may be heard.
