I was working at Jackson and Joseph鈥檚 shoe factory behind Spittalfields' church in the East End; making shoes for the ATS. We where hit by a Doodlebug the roof and the upper story went up in flames we all rushed out and helped put out the flames and then went straight back to the important work.
