Charles George Stokes â€” Born Great Grimsby, Lincolnshire 1899 â€” Volunteered for Royal Marine Light Infantry 1917 â€” Joining HMS Tiger, Battlecruiser â€” one of the largest ships in the Royal Navy.
Transferred to Royal Navy 1919 â€” enrolled in the Royal Navy Reserve 1925.
