Charles George Stokes

Charles George Stokes — Born Great Grimsby, Lincolnshire 1899 — Volunteered for Royal Marine Light Infantry 1917 — Joining HMS Tiger, Battlecruiser — one of the largest ships in the Royal Navy.
Transferred to Royal Navy 1919 — enrolled in the Royal Navy Reserve 1925.
