One dark winter鈥檚 night, my sister came home from work and mother said to me 鈥淕o and open the back door for Marjorie.鈥� I went through the dark kitchen, daren鈥檛 put on the light because of the blackout, opened the door and shouted, 鈥淲ho鈥檚 there?鈥� My sister shouted, 鈥淏oo!鈥� to me. I went screaming back through the kitchen to the front of the house to the light, terrified. It was months before I dare go up to bed by myself.
