Ivy House Holiday Camp on Common Edge Road, Blackpool, pregnant mothers from Manchester stayed there for a short time. The passageway from the dining room to the kitchen was very narrow and the pregnant women could hardly get past!

Soldiers and Airmen were billeted there at the Ivy League Holiday Camp. The camp was owned by a Mr Wood and his brother.

Court Marshals were held in the Camp bar. I remember one particular Court Marshal involving soldiers from Dunkirk — I witnessed one soldier having his hat knocked off before he went into the court!
