I was stationed in Chick ford Priory in Bedford, for the Royal Air Force. After my shift, the Americans used to send us buses going from work, to camp. As we made our way to camp, we saw a plane coming in for landing, but this plane was making noises as if it was in big trouble. So all of us in the bus were quite anxious of what might happen to the plane but we carried on our journey as usual. Our eyes were still glued to the plane, as it was about to land on the run way, it looked even worse, waving about and making bigger scarier noises. It then finally got it wheels on the runway. Just then, it blew up right in front of us! All of us were crying because we knew all the troops that were on the plane had just been killed. Even some bits of the plane were hitting the windows as we watched. But we still could not stop, so we carried on back to our camp, while still mourning about what just happened.
