After returning from strikes we would get our beer ration ticket which purchased two beers which would have to last for the duration of our stay in trinco.
I overcame this problem by meeting an old pal who took me to an out of bounds drinking place where they brewed their own concoctions. The one we chose was some kind of a drink made out of bananas, it was quite nice while being consumed but next day you thought you had been polaxed, and I did;nt rush to thank brummee,just hoping to get back to sea.
