We used to hitch hike to get everywhere.
Standing at the roadside lorry drivers would stop for us.
At one time at the transport cafe in Gloucester we were going back to London and a driver let us all on.
We had to keep down as we weren't meant to be on it.
When we got off we had a collection for the driver.
