My name is John Neville Davies.
I was a clerk in a local coal merchants, at the Llay Main Colliery near Wrexham, during the war. That was considered war work.
A couple of bombs dropped in Llay during the war. One was dropped not far from Llay Main, where I worked. That scared people. But as time went on, it faded out, the sensation of a bomb dropping, because quite a few things happened that were connected with the war. People got over it in the end.
