We were all there, my father had been injured so it was an exciting visit for mum, Jessie, Sheila and brother Phil. Dad was a bit better and going back into action. Mum and Dad and Phil were resting, so my sister Jessie took me to the pictures. It was not all sadness, even though people did worry. As we were coming home from the cinema an air raid started. My sister took my hand and ran with me until we reached our destination. It was exciting. Mum and dad worried, but there was no need. Jessie and I got on with adventure.
