Cinemas reopened after a time and I decided to go one evening. I had been in the cinema for 30 minutes when it flashed on the screen stating a air raid was in progress and asking patrons to move to the back of the cinema under the balcony. I had two chioces, to stay in the cinema or go home. Being young and not thinking that people at home would be worried about my whereabouts and because I was enjoying the film, 'Typhoon', I decided to remain at the cinema. After a few hours I left the cinema and was shocked to find Birmingham ablaze. When I returned home I was in big trouble with my parents for not returning back home!
