I can remember my Father pushing me through Cirencester Park when I was three years old, and seeing the Polish Prisoners of War. They were in tents in a compound. Before we could explore the air raid sirens went off so we had to run home.My father was going to work in Kemble when he was shot at by a plane. This was at Chesterton Estate in Cirencester. The plane was so low that he could see the pilot's face.
