We were in the army and had been asked by our sargent to travel to the antartic. We asked why and he said he didnt want to tell us because it may put us off and he wasn't having that as he wanted us to do our job properly.
we said okay but we were still curious as we didnt know who or what we were going to meet out there. We traveled there in our helicopter as it was the only method of transport we had at those times.
When we got there it was biting, freezing cold and i really, seriously did think i and Rodney would catch hypothermia. We started to build an igloo for the night and that went up okay.
at this point i was missing my family and just hoping that my kids would be alright , hoping and praying that my wife was okay.
at times like these i really do wish i was at home but i know that it would be well worth it in the long run.
About 3.00am Rodney suddenly woke up, he woke me up and told me to look out of the little window. I looked and what i saw was horrific. It was a large furry brown and black yeti running round with a fish in his mouth!!
i decided not to scream as he could sense fear but little did i know that worse was to come.
